Add your rent to the register
We are building the biggest rent transparency register in the UK. It takes one file and about a minute.
Why it matters
Rents are one of the few large costs in Britain that nobody publishes. Landlords and letting agents know what the market is doing; tenants are told what it is doing, usually by the person asking for more money.
The more tenancies the register holds, the harder an unreasonable increase is to defend — and the more each renter has to point at when they challenge one. Your rent is worth more to somebody else than it is to you.
What happens to what you send
- Published
- The rent, the property type, the number of bedrooms and the postcode only.
- Never published
- Your name, your address, your landlord’s name, and the tenancy agreement itself.
- Used commercially
- We may use the published figures in products we charge for.
- Shared in confidence
- Your agreement in full may go to government departments, local authorities, the tribunal and public-interest researchers. Never to another user, never sold, and never in anything we charge for.

Your tenancy agreement
A PDF, a Word document, or a photograph of each page. We read the rent out of it, show you what we found, and keep the document itself private.
