We can prepare and send your application
The tribunal decides rent challenges on a form called the MR1. We ask you the questions in plain English, fill the form in, attach the evidence from your results page, and send it to the tribunal with a copy to you.
What it costs
| Tribunal application feePaid directly to the tribunal, not to us. They will email you a payment link. | £47.00 |
| Preparing your application | £9.99 |
| Checking and sending your application | £1.99 |
You pay us £11.98. The tribunal bills its own fee separately, and we never handle it.
There is no tribunal fee at all if your notice was served before 1 May 2026, or if you live in social housing. If you have little or no savings or are on a low income you may be able to get it reduced. We will tell you which applies to you as we go.
No VAT is charged on these amounts. You pay nothing until your application is ready to send.
Before you start
- You will need the notice your landlord sent you, and a copy of your tenancy agreement if you have one.
- You have to apply before the date your new rent is due to start. We will not take payment for an application the tribunal can no longer hear.
- You can stop and come back. We will give you a link that returns you to where you left off, and we keep your answers for 90 days.
- Your application is yours. We send it for you, but we do not act as your representative, so the tribunal writes to you rather than to us.
We are not solicitors and this is not legal advice. Free advice on your own tenancy is available from Citizens Advice and Shelter, and you can send the free letter from your results page yourself at no cost.
