What the tribunal said
The tribunal determined the open market rent for a typical studio in the building in good condition to be £800 per month. Deductions totalling £125 per month were made to reflect the third-floor walk-up without a lift (£50), the sloping ceiling construction with velux-only fenestration (£50), and items of disrepair including shower leaks and mould (£25).
